Neon Evangelion is a long anime series that ended unsatisfactorily for many of its devotees. Thanks to the controversy generated by the original ending a separate movie was created with a more violent and less introspective conclusion. Pen-Pen, the hot springs penguin, has very little screen time but is still an endearing presence on the show.
