I love Tom Tomorrow (aka Dan Perkins) since the current political climate (rampant jingoism with a side order of warmongering) has pretty much squelched the balls of every other political commentator in the media. I learned long ago that the only place you can actually hear what's really going on in the world is through comedians and comic strip artists, and Tom Tomorrow has remained consistently irreverent, witty, and relevant throughout what have been extremely trying times for average Americans. His doppelganger, Sparky the penguin, is always trying to make his voice heard, despite the thick headedness of the ultra-conservatives who invariably populate the strip.
